This Budget Kenya Holiday is quite unique for the reason that the two major destinations in the package, Masai Mara and Samburu offer a distinguished opportunity to learn about the indigenous culture of some Kenyan communities. On that count it is not only an exciting safari adventure, but also a cultural tour in some aspect, so to speak. An alluring spectacle to Lake Nakuru is one of the most glamorous birds in all of nature, the flamingo, which come to the shores of the lake in a multitude of numbers. In all these destinations you will catch sight of many animals and birds including the big five, wildebeest, antelope, hyena, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, crocodile, hippo, secretary bird, vulture, among many others.

Day 1: From Nairobi to Masai Mara

Commence the tour from your hotel/residence in Nairobi driving to Masai Mara, stopping briefly at The Great Rift Valley viewpoint and Narok Town. After arrival at your Camp in Masai Mara, take a short rest while having lunch. Subsequently your Guide will drive you into the park for a safari drive where you will see a variety of wildlife while enjoying the graceful topography. In the evening return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Roaming Masai Mara

This day you will spend roaming the vast savannah plains of the Mara looking out for game. Your Guide is expertly trained to spot the often hiding animals, especially carnivores, hence you will get to see them sleeping around and some might even be hunting. Lunch will be served close to the Mara River, thereafter you will proceed with the drive until evening. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Village Experience

Following breakfast, head to the park for a safari drive getting another great chance to spot animals you did not get to see the previous days. The usually elusive leopard is a fantastic sight to catch especially on the acacia trees feeding on a caught prey or relaxing. For lunch you will head back to the camp and afterwards you could visit the Masai Village or go on a guided walk nature walk. In the evening have dinner at the camp and an overnight stay.

Day 4: To Lake Nakuru

Leave the camp after breakfast for a drive to Lake Nakuru (lunch will be served en route to Nakuru). After a few hours’ drive arrive at the hotel in Nakuru and check in for some rest. Subsequently head to the park which is rich in animals and birdlife. Flamingos are plentiful, forming a pink swathe on the shores of the lake. Giants of the park are easily seen here; Black and white rhinos. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: To Samburu

In the morning you will explore the park as you drive around catching sight of wildlife abiding in the park. There are a number of Rothschild’s giraffe which had been relocated to this park for conservation purposes. In due course depart to Samburu (lunch will be served en route). On arrival at the camp in Samburu check in then have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Samburu Special 5

Spend this day touring the park rich in wildlife among which are the reticulated giraffe, Gravy’s zebra, somali ostrich, buffalo, elephant, lion, cheetah, among others. Lunch will be served inside the park after which you will proceed for the safari drive. In the eveing return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Back to Nairobi

Following breakfast, depart for Nanyuki, at the base of Mt. Kenya arriving after a few hours’ drive for lunch. Here you can choose to do hiking on the mountain, or return to Nairobi.
