Tour overview

The breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater is undoubtedly the centerpiece of a Classic Tanzania Holiday. There are plenty of hippos around the lovely Ngoitoktok Springs picnic site, and Lake Magadi attracts flocks of flamingos to its shallows in the rainy season. The Serengeti is also a must see for anyone wanting to go on safari as the park boasts with different landscapes in addition to being home to over three million animals. The shores of Lake Manyara, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. Lake Manyara is a fascinating experience, as the park also features a ground-water forest, acacia tortilis woodland and hot springs called Maji Moto.

Day 1: From Nairobi to Arusha

Get picked from your hotel/residence in Nairobi at 7:30 am and head to the border post of Tanzania for immigration formalities. On the other side of Tanzania you will be met by one of our staff who will give you a full briefing you of your safari. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: To Lake Manyara

Commence your safari after pick up from the hotel at 8:00 am. On arrival around mid-morning at Lake Manyara enjoy a safari drive (you will be served packed lunch in the park). The lake has plenty of elephants, wildebeests along with so many giraffes, and buffaloes which you will have the chance to see. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 3: To Ngorongoro Crater

Following breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater arriving for a safari drive around the crater. Thereafter you will descend 2000 ft into the crater floor to observe this world's largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa including black manned lions, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants and other grazers (lunch will be served in the pack). Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 4: Serengeti

Depart Ngorongoro and set off to Serengeti, where you will have lunch on arrival. Enjoy an afternoon game drive after lunch, where there is the highest concentration of large mammals in the world, so you're bound to spot giraffes, elephants, hippos and, of course, lions. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5: Traversing Serengeti

Spend this day in the pack roaming and on the lookout for the big five. You'll come across more than 500 species of birds, including ostriches and flamingos, making this park not only an animal lover’s paradise but also caters for the birders as well (packed lunch will be served in the park). This park possibly habits the highest concentration of large mammals, as you will likely spot so many of them. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 6: Back to Nairobi

In the morning leave your campsite after breakfast to do your final safari drive thereafter depart Serengeti for a drive to Arusha via Mto wa Mbu village. You will have lunch at a hotel in Arusha, then connect a shuttle for a transfer back to Nairobi arriving early evening with good safari memories to share back home with friends and family.
