Both the Ngorongoro and Serengeti in Tanzania have diverse habitats, with spectacular sceneries where the BIG 5 is must see. The rim of the Ngorongoro Crater offers some of the best views in Africa, or better put, the world. Also another ideal destination, hassle-free for enthusiast tourists is the Maasai Mara where there is a wide range of resident wildlife that can be spotted with ease. A visit to the Mara combines seamlessly with the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, offering a wholesome safari experience to savor.

Day 1: From Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater.

Set out to Ngorongoro from your hotel at 8:00 am, driving steadily as you admire the beautiful Tanzanian landscapes and environs. Upon arrival you will have the first game drive on the floor of this magnificent caldera. This is among the largest caldera in the world and boasts a remarkable diversity of wildlife. A lunch break will be at the Ngoitoktok springs picnic site, thereafter resume your safari. Yearly large herds of zebras, wildebeest, impala, elephants and buffalos trek into the crater to find sufficient food and water. In the evening return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: The Serengeti

Start out to Serengeti in the morning, having lunch upon arrival. Thereafter head inside the Serengeti park for a safari drive, you will be welcomed into the park with marvelous landscape views of the wide savannah grasslands. This is an extremely popular destination due to the presence of lions, giraffes, elephants and rhinos. In the evening return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Touring the Serengeti

Enjoy this day in the park in search of wildlife prevalent, especially the Big Five. The Serengeti plains mostly consist of tall grasslands, few trees and the rock formations often jut out amongst the plains which form lookout points for lions among other predators. This area has the largest lion population in Africa, partly because they have been protected within the conservation area. In the evening return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: To Maasai Mara

Embark on a final game drive in the park after early breakfast to have a chance of spotting animals you had missed the previous days. At mid-morning leave for Maasai Mara through Isebania for immigration formalities (packed lunch will be served en route). Proceed with the drive, entering hemingway Maasai Mara plains to do an afternoon safari drive if time allows. In the evening have dinner and overnight at your Camp.

Day 5: Roaming Maasai Mara.

After waking up, have breakfast at the camp then head inside the park for a safari drive for a full day. Since the drive will be extensive, you will have the perfect chance to see some lions, cheetahs, leopards, antelope, wildebeest, secretary birds among other renowned birds and animals. Landscape lovers will enjoy this one too, as the picturesque location has magnificent views of them. Lunch will be taken at the Mara River. In the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Maasai Village

In the morning after breakfast you will continue your safari drive having another chance to spot animals you didn’t get to see the previous two days. In the afternoon after lunch you have an option of returning to the camp and visit the masai village or have a nature walk with masai guides. Your Tour Guide will receive your opinions so that he can take you where you wish. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 7: Drive to Nairobi

After waking up in the morning, your Guide will take you inside the park for a final safari drive. Ascertain you take the final good photos you want to take of the animals and topography as you bid goodbye this majestic place. Afterwards return to the camp for mid-morning breakfast. Thence pack your luggage and have a drive back to Nairobi with good ole memories.
