Masai Mara & Serengeti Holiday. The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s flagship destination, attracting about 300,000 tourists from all over the world every year. This safari will be even more unforgettable with a visit to Tanzania’s major parks including Lake Manyara which is characterized by lush green vegetation, tree-climbing lions and thousands of flamingos among other water birds. In Ngorongoro and Serengeti there is a perfect chance of spotting the Big Five, the grounds are home to a healthy population of these magnificent and renowned creatures: rhino, elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo.

Day 1: From Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Start off the journey to Maasai Mara from your hotel in Nairobi, stopping briefly at the Great Rift Valley view point for some sight-seeing. Narok will be the only next stop before reaching your Camp in Masai Mara to take lunch and rest briefly. In the afternoon you will do the first safari drive inside this park dominated by a landscape of rolling plains, groves of acacia woodland and dense scrub thickets. In the evening return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Traversing Maasai Mara

Roam the vast land of the reserve on the look-out for various wildlife that inhabit this area, mostly spotted are the impala, wildebeest, gazelle, lion, elephant, buffalo and hippos along river beds. There is a great chance of seeing the Big Five all year round, although the leopard is a bit more elusive than the rest (Packed lunch will be served at the Mara River). Some 470 species of birds have been recorded in this unique park, many of them being migrants, with nearly 60 species being raptors. In the evening return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Back to Nairobi

Embark on a morning safari drive to see animals that you might have missed the previous days until mid-morning when you will return to the camp to have breakfast. Thereafter leave for a drive back to Nairobi where your Kenya adventure ends. Have dinner and overnight at your hotel in Nairobi.

Day 4: To Lake Manyara via Arusha

Get picked from your hotel in Nairobi at 5:00 am and head to the border post of Tanzania for immigration formalities. Arrival in Arusha will be in the mid-morning, then proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for the first Tanzania game drive. This park boasts a splendid road network which contributes to the beauty of the topography visible as you drive around spotting wildlife like buffalo, elephant and even the lesser flamingo. Tree climbing lions dwell here as well, though they can be spotted with a bit of luck. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Following breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater arriving for a safari drive around the crater. Thereafter you will descend 2000 ft into the crater floor to observe this world's largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa including black manned lions, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants and other grazers (lunch will be served in the pack). Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 6: The Serengeti

Depart Ngorongoro and set off to Serengeti, where you will have lunch on arrival. Enjoy an afternoon game drive after lunch, where there is the highest concentration of large mammals in the world, so you're bound to spot giraffes, elephants, hippos and, of course, lions. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 7: Roaming Serengeti

Spend this day in the pack roaming and on the lookout for the big five. You'll come across more than 500 species of birds, including ostriches and flamingos, making this park not only an animal lover’s paradise but also caters for the birders as well (packed lunch will be served in the park). This park possibly habits the highest concentration of large mammals, as you will likely spot so many of them. Dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 8: Back to Arusha

In the morning leave your campsite after breakfast to do your final safari drive thereafter depart Serengeti for a drive to Arusha via Mto wa Mbu village where your safari ends with good memories to share back home with friends and family.
