Naivasha, Hell’s gate is only two hours from Nairobi city, a perfect place for a single day tour. Starting at 7:00 am from your Nairobi hotel/residence, you will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint which offers a wonderful panorama of the landscape.
On reaching Hell’s Gate National Park, take a bike ride which runs through dusty roads; along the way some wildlife is visible including buffalos, zebras, giraffes and impalas. Hiking is another great activity that you will get to undertake, where you will have to choose between three different variations of hikes in the canyon that you can do; short, medium and long hikes.
A medium walk through the canyon can easily be done in one hour. Afterwards you will have a chance to pass by a local Maasai community where they will enlighten you about their traditional life as well as customs in the Great Rift Valley. Following the learning session, head on to Naivasha town to have lunch at a hotel then drive back to Nairobi marking the end of this tour.
